Jihye Shin is a Chicago and Florida-based artist who has recently resumed her practice after a long hiatus. After graduating from Hongik University in Seoul, Shin went on to accrue accolades locally and abroad. Her work captures the essence of dynamic urban scenes, nature, and the people who surround her. During her artistic process, she strives to create a harmonious fusion of the traditional style from her heritage and her newfound Western environment. 

She is dedicated to creating visual narratives that reflect space, memories, and emotions she has experienced using intentional color palettes. Her work aims to evoke positive emotions and uplift viewers, moving them to feel a sense of joy and inspiration.
